Admission

As a Continuous Education Training Centre (CETC) appointed by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) since December 2008, ACE offers the Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) training and assessment, leading to Statement of Attainments (SOA) under the Tourism WSQ system. ACE offers up to 70% funding to Singaporean, Singapore PR and LTVP+ holder applicants for courses commencing on or after 01 Jan 2022.

Upon receiving your online registration form, ACE representative will be in touch with you to offer further detailed information on course information, available schedule, funding eligibility, entry requirements and attend to all your queries.

A face-to-face admission interview session at our campus will then be set up at a mutually agreed schedule to ascertain suitability and to verify all relevant information, including NRIC and copies of educational certificates and CVs.

Once you are offered a training place at ACE, you must complete the enrolment process which includes, but not limited to:

  • Acknowledgement of letter of confirmation
  • Acknowledgement of CPE Contract
  • Retain an e-copy of Student Handbook
  • Complete payment

Withdrawal / Refund Policy

a. Refund for Withdrawal Due to Non-Delivery of Course:

ACE will notify the student within three (3) working days upon knowledge of any of the following:

  • It does not commence the Course on the Course Commencement Date;
  • It terminates the Course before the Course Commencement Date;
  • It does not complete the Course by the Course Completion Date;
  • It terminates the Course before the Course Completion Date;
  • It has not ensured that the student meets the course entry or matriculation requirement as set by the organisation, within any stipulated timeline set by CPE

Student will be notified in writing of alternative study arrangements (if any), and also be entitled to a refund of the entire Course Fees already paid should the student decide to withdraw, within seven (7) working days of the above notice.

b. Refund for Withdrawal Due to Other Reasons:

If Student withdraws from the Course for any reason other than the above clause, ACE will, within seven (7) working days of receiving the student’s written notice of withdrawal, refund to the student an amount based on the refund policy.

c. Where course fee payment is made via Post-Secondary Education Account (PSEA), processing period may take up 3 to 6 weeks from date of submission of PSEA Form. ACE will notify student on the outcome of refund provided by Ministry of Education (MOE).

d. Students who paid via claims of SkillsFuture Credits may cancel their SkillsFuture Credits claims via MySkillsFuture Portal before course start date.

e. For new commencing students – a cooling period of seven (7) working days will be given upon the signing of the Student Contract. A student is able to withdraw from the course with a submission of Withdrawal Form and supporting documents (if applicable) within these seven (7) working days, notwithstanding if the course commencement date has passed. Student will be entitled to a full refund on the paid course fees less any applicable *bank administrative charges. Upon successful withdrawal, students must first sign the contract termination page in the CPE PEI-Student Contract.

* Any bank charges applicable for refund made via transfer will be borne by the student.

The following conditions must be fulfilled for refund of course fee, if any is to be considered:

  • Any request for withdrawal must be submitted in writing to our office.
  • Refund will be based on the remaining number of unconsumed module(s) from the date (of notice) of withdrawal in accordance to the stipulated timeline prior to the commencement of the next module as drawn out in the Refund Policy.
  • No refund will be given for modules that have already completed and/or have commenced.
  • Students with medical conditions or face genuine financial difficulties must support their claims with official documentary evidence to the School for consideration.
  • In the event that a company-sponsored student withdraws, the company is liable to pay any outstanding fees incurred.
  • Ascott Centre for Excellence will seek parental/guardian approval for students under 18 years of age, prior to processing the request for withdrawal.
  • All requests pertaining to withdrawal matters are to be approved by the Ascott Centre for Excellence.
  • Any decision relating to refund of course fee arising from withdrawal shall be made at the sole discretion of Ascott Centre for Excellence and that shall be final. Upon which, the student concerned shall be informed in writing of the school decision.
